ABOUT lomovera

Hello, my name is Vera Gotseva. I’m not a photographer but journalist, and Lomovera is my day by day adventure in toy camera photography, but not only. I also would like to explore shooting with more serious vintage cameras. I post one photo a day on this photoblog. Most of the pictures you will see here are taken with lomo cameras – Lomo LC-A, Diana, Holga, Actionsampler etc, but also with higher class vintage cameras such as Yashica Mat EM and others. More cameras will be added to this list with time, as I am an avid collector. Beside photography I love scuba diving, jazz music, good food and nature. about toy cameras

Toy cameras have quite a low level of settings. LOMO is a Russian company (currently Austrian) from last century producing cameras such as Lomo LC-A, Smena, and others. Lomography is a process which surprises you. The photographs have an incredible, deep focus and live, dreamy colors. Mistakes are not a shortcoming, but rather a different view on reality.

The photographs in this blog are scanned straight from the developed film and have not been enhanced with visual editor programs.
